Alicia Blomberg

About Me

Alicia attended the University of Ottawa where she completed an Honours degree with Specialization in Human Kinetics, and later, a Bachelor’s degree in Education. While at the University of Ottawa Alicia played for the Gee-Gee Women’s Hockey Team. In her final varsity year the university presented Alicia with the President’s Award for her outstanding efforts in athletics, academics and community. Following her education Alicia travelled to Northern Alberta where she spent 2 years teaching Physical Education in a Woodland Cree Community. She then returned to Ottawa were she spent another 2 years teaching at the secondary level. In her free time Alicia enjoys competing internationally in ball hockey and Red Bull Crashed Ice. Outside of teaching and athletics she enjoys being outdoors, coaching and spending time with friends and family including her two dogs. Alicia encourages her students to grasp onto new learning opportunities and explore their natural curiosity.
