Marie-Josée Cardinal

FSL Teacher

About Me

Marie Marie-Josée Cardinal obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, a Master of Science degree in Food Sciences at Université Laval, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Regina. Having taught for the last 16 years, Marie-Josée enjoys teaching FSL and values her opportunity to interact with students in a variety of contexts unique to The Element: the nine-day Odyssey canoe trip, cooking community meals, working on the farm, and the year-end trip to Québec City planned by the students. When she was a young adult, Marie-Josée enjoyed intense competition and world travel as a member of the Canadian Short Track Speed Skating Team. She still spends many hours on the ice, currently as a coach and speed skating mom. She also enjoys canoeing, camping, exercising and supporting her four children in their many sports and activities
